Stephen McCauley Book Released As Film In France

The adaptation of Stephen McCauley’s THE EASY WAY OUT (“L’Art de la Fugue”) was released in France. Directed by Brice Cauvin, the film was #1 at the box office on its premier weekend.

Hugh Raffles Book One Of Germany’s “Most Beautiful Books”

The Stiftung Buchkunst (Book Art Foundation) chose INSECTOPEDIA, published by Matthes & Seitz in Germany, as one of the 50 “most beautiful books of the year.”  Established in Frankfurt in 1965, the competition recognizes outstanding contributions to the design and production of books.

Karen Russell Named 2013 MacArthur Fellow

The MacArthur Foundation has just named its 2013 class of MacArthur Fellows. Karen Russell is among twenty-four others to receive this prestigious grant, which the Foundation says is awarded to an “extraordinary group of individuals who collectively reflect the breadth and depth of American creativity.”

Ben Marcus Wins Berlin Prize

Ben Marcus has been awarded the Berlin Prize Fellowship, a residency fellowship sponsored by The American Academy in Berlin.  His stint will begin in Fall 2013.
